Welcome to Alphabets Pre-school

Alphabets Pre-school is a registered charity group, established in Botley for over 40 years.
We are run by fully qualified staff, led by an Early Years Professional.
We are helped and managed by a volunteer committee made up of parents and carers.

Our Aims at Alphabets Pre-school are:

  • To provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment for your child where they can develop both physical and social skills.
  • To work with parents, within a framework which will ensure equal opportunities for all children and their families.
  • To ensure your child has fun and enjoys their time within the group.

Alphabets offers your child:

  • Fun with other children and adults in an enjoyable, exciting environment.
  • Learning through play where all children are encouraged to develop at their own pace to their full potential with support from adults.
  • A safe and secure environment with caring, knowledgeable staff.

Joining in

We have a parents helper rota, which encourages you to take a more active role within the group and gives you the opportunity to observe your child and talk to members of staff. Parents can offer to take part in a session by sharing their own interests and skills with the children. Perhaps you can play an instrument, have an interesting collection to show or would like to tell the children about your job?

Training

As well as gaining qualifications in early years care and education, Alphabets staff take part in further training to help them keep up to date. The setting also keeps up to date with best practice in early years through membership of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and their publications, including their monthly magazine 'Under Five'.
